Doe para o Protea

The Protea team includes people who have been affected by cancer in various ways, whether as patients, carers, friends or healthcare professionals working on the front lines in clinics and hospitals.
Our Medical Advisory Board comprises some of Brazil's most renowned breast and cancer specialists. Our volunteer doctors generously donate their wisdom and professional experience to guide us in making strategic decisions regarding our health projects in hospitals.
We also have a team of professionals and specialists in various areas, such as the Third Sector, Fundraising, Events and Communication, to help us with our strategic decisions.

Partner and CEO of Ace Gestão Global, an investment management company created in 2013 to manage a global share portfolio exclusively for a Family Office in Brazil. Prior to that, Gabriella worked at Goldman Sachs Asset Management for 16 years between New York, London and São Paulo, holding many positions in portfolio management. Her last position was as Executive Officer and portfolio manager. She previously worked at HSBC Asset Management, Baring Asset Management and Fidelity Investments in NY and Boston. Gabriella is married, has three children, and has faced breast cancer twice.
With a degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica, Rio de Janeiro (PUC / RJ) in 1997, Raffaella has been practicing law for around 20 years and is currently a founding partner of Antici Vidigal Werneck Advogados. She works in the areas of civil, family and probate, contracts, and commercial law. She is married and a mother of two.
With a degree in Business Administration, she is currently an executive partner at Estater Gestão e Finanças. Her career has been in the financial market, working at BBA and Icatu Banks. Eleonora is Director of Instituto Estater, which invests in social projects focused on Education and Social Inclusion for low-income children and adolescents. She is a board member of the NGO Pró Saber SP. She has 3 children and overcame breast cancer that appeared when she was only 34 years old.
Camila juntou-se ao time em 2026 e traz uma combinação valiosa de experiência como executiva C-Level na área da saúde, trajetória empreendedora e uma perspectiva profundamente pessoal sobre a missão do Instituto, após ter passado pelo tratamento de câncer de mama há cinco anos.
Formada em Administração pela PUC-SP, com MBA pela London Business School, há mais de 20 anos contribui para moldar e escalar negócios — de startups em modo stealth a empresas listadas.
Atualmente, também atua como investidora-anjo em healthtechs e integra o SW50, programa global de liderança feminina do Santander, em parceria com a London School of Economics.
Camila é casada, mãe de dois filhos e apaixonada por esportes.
Mara juntou-se ao time do Instituto Protea em 2026 como Gerente de Marketing, Comunicação e Parcerias, trazendo mais de 20 anos de experiência em marketing estratégico, comunicação e inteligência de mercado. Ao longo de sua carreira, atuou em diversas empresas, liderando projetos de posicionamento de marca, campanhas integradas e iniciativas de relacionamento com stakeholders e desenvolvimento de novos negócios.
Formada em Publicidade e Propaganda, com pós-graduação em Gestão da Comunicação de Marketing pela USP/ECA, construiu sua trajetória na interface entre estratégia, dados e comunicação, contribuindo para o crescimento e fortalecimento de marcas.
Mara é mãe de dois filhos
Master’s in Economic and Social Development with a focus on Health and Education from Université Paris I – Panthéon Sorbonne, Nira is a specialist in social project management. She has worked with health development issues in France (Médecins du Monde, Paris) and Angola (Africare, Luanda). She also has experience in evaluation and research of educational programs (The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab - JPAL, Paris), project management of volunteer programs (Atados, São Paulo), as well as in financial planning (Johnson & Johnson, São Paulo).
Especializanda em Publicidade, Design e Comunicação Digital pela École Intuit Lab São Paulo, Arteterapeuta e Turismóloga formada pela Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO), transitou pelos estudos das Linguagens e das Culturas como professora de Inglês, tradutora e corretora de monografias, além de agente de Turismo e voluntária em projetos de educação e cultura desde a faculdade. Lidera a própria marca – Zella – Terapias e Alquimias® – onde oferece experiências focadas em desenvolvimento pessoal e bem-estar através da criatividade e da auto-expressão. Ingressou em 2019 no Instituto Protea como voluntária, e hoje todos os saberes se unem em sua atuação no Projeto Social e na Comunicação, como coordenadora do time de Voluntários das atividades do Grupo de Apoio às pacientes beneficiadas pelo Instituto.
With a Law degree from Universidade Paulista, Camila has worked as an assistant at a law firm, executive secretary, and other positions. She has a history of a benign breast lump, and because of this experience, she believes that early diagnosis is critical and that all family and structural support is key in moments like these!
Social Worker graduated from PUC-SP, with over 15 years of experience and specialization in Palliative Care and Public Health. She has been working for over 10 years in the SUS (Brazilian Unified Health System), focusing on guaranteeing rights and access to health care. In addition, she also has experience as a legal expert in socioeconomic assessments, contributing with fundamental reports for social security and welfare cases. She created an informational channel about the public health system and social services, contributing to the democratization of information. She has chosen Protea because she believes in the importance of access to treatment and health care for low-income women. Daniela is married and has two children.
Graduated in Business Administration from Faculdade de São Paulo, with an MBA in Retail and Marketing from Escola de Negócios, technical training in Confectionery, and currently studying Physical Therapy at Universidade Paulista. She has experience in planning, purchasing, category management, customer relationship management, and partnership building. She worked in the Youth Ministry with human and spiritual training, social action, and youth leadership. She has started at Protea Institute motivated by her belief in the care and social transformation it promotes.

Medical Board

Dr. Rodrigo Saddi has a medical degree from Universidade de Santo Amaro (Unisa), with residency in Internal Medicine from São Paulo Medical School - Universidade Federal de São Paulo. He did his residency in Clinical Oncology at AC Camargo Cancer Center. He currently works as an oncologist in São Paulo, on Dr. Artur Katz’s team (Sírio-Libanês Hospital).
PhD in Surgery from the Medical School, Universidade de São Paulo and post-doctorate in Mastology from Universidade Federal de São Paulo. He specialized in Mastology at Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori in Italy. He is an affiliated professor of Mastology at São Paulo Medical School, a Mastologist surgeon at the Oncology Center at Israelita Albert Einstein Hospital and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
With a Medical degree from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), Dr. Otto specialized in Breast Cancer at the Institut Jules Bordet in Brussels, Belgium. He is an oncologist in Boston, USA, at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, affiliated with Harvard Medical School. He has a number of scientific papers published in international medical journals.
Despite having a degree in Veterinary from USP, her passion was medicine. Taking advantage of her move to Rio, Renata took a medical degree at Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) and specialized in obstetric gynecology at UFRJ. Married, mother of two, she was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of just 37. Now, with her return to the city of São Paulo, she joins the Scientific Board to interface with our Hospital Partners joining her profession with the practical experience of what it is like to fight this disease.
With a Medical degree and Residency in Internal Medicine at São Paulo Medical School - Universidade Federal de São Paulo, he completed a Clinical Fellowship and Clinical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He is currently a Clinical Oncologist at Israelita Albert Einstein Hospital and coordinator of the Cell Therapy in Oncology program at the hospital. He is pursuing a PhD in immunotherapy and is the first author on numerous scientific papers published in high-profile international journals.
With a Medical degree and PhD from the Universidade de São Paulo, he did his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center (USA) and attended the specialization program in Clinical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (USA). He is currently an oncologist at Albert Einstein Hospital, Chairperson of the Brazilian Society of Clinical Oncology (SBOC), Director of Centro Paulista de Oncologia (CPO) [São Paulo Oncology Center] and Chief Executive of the Brazilian Breast Cancer Study Group (GBECAM).
É Diretor do Departamento de Oncologia Pediátrica do Hospital Santa Marcelina, em SP, e Coordenador do Grupo Cooperativo Brasileiro para Tratamento dos Tumores Cerebrais da Sociedade Brasileira de Oncologia Pediátrica. Fundador e Presidente da TUCCA e Membro do Board internacional do INCTR – International Network for Cancer Treatment and Research. Lidera a oncopediatria do Grupo Oncoclínicas e é Professor do Curso de Medicina da Faculdade Santa Marcelina e da Universidade de Mogi das Cruzes. Editou o livro Oncologia No Adolescente e é autor de diversos artigos científicos publicados no Brasil e exterior.
Graduada em Medicina pela Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (FMUSP), com Residência Médica em Radiologia e Diagnóstico por Imagem pelo Instituto de Radiologia do Hospital das Clínicas da FMUSP (INRAD). Possui título de especialista em Radiologia e Diagnóstico por Imagem pelo Colégio Brasileiro de Radiologia. É Médica do Grupo de Mama do Departamento de Imagem do Hospital israelita Albert Einstein (HIAE).

Advisory Board

Master’s in Business Administration with specialization in Marketing from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona, USA, and with a degree in Architecture from a University in Mexico, she has over 15 years of professional experience in Consulting, Project Management and New Business. She has worked with many clients in many market sectors in Brazil and abroad. Cristina is married, has 2 children, and faced uterine cancer at the age of 23.
With a degree in Advertising from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Cristiane has almost 20 years of experience in the advertising market, having developed advertising campaigns, design projects, promotions, events and online media strategies. She specializes in Visual Programming from Centro Universitário Ritter dos Reis and has worked at Escala, McCann Erickson, Duda Propaganda and Momentum. She faced a rare, aggressive form of breast cancer: half positive, half negative

With a degree in Architecture from Universidade Mackenzie (SP), she worked in the Retail Sector for many years, then in Marketing and Retail at Shopping Cidade Jardim and was Commercial Officer for Christian Dior in Brazil. For years, Cris has dedicated herself to different social causes, mainly in Fund Raising for certain Organizations. Mother of two children, after overcoming breast cancer, she has contributed to various organizations in the health field. These include the Deliberative Board of Sírio Libanês Hospital, of which Cris is a member.

Master’s in Education from PUC-SP, specialization in Social Innovation Management from Amani Institute; Specialization in Psychopedagogy from CEPERJ; With a degree in Psychology, she is an elementary education teacher, founder and executive officer of Pró-Saber São Paulo Institute, operating in the Paraisópolis community since 2003. Maria is also the Social Committee Leader of the Grupo Mulheres do Brasil (Women of Brazil Group). Married with three children, Maria believes that Education is a powerful tool for reducing social inequality.
With a degree in Speech Therapy from Universidade Federal de São Paulo. (USP-SP) and a Master in Pathophysiology from the Medical School (USP-SP), Luly Vidigal, as she is better known, worked for 25 years as a Speech Therapist, 8 of which were at Albert Einstein Hospital. However, Luly found her passion when she became a master in floral arranging from the Ikebana School in NY. The florist has taught at the NY Botanical Garden, has won the Best Floral Arrangement at the 25th Orchid Show at Rockefeller Center, and now owns her own studio in São Paulo. Luly has 4 children and is a board member of TUCCA, a non-profit organization.
Businesswoman in the lighting sector, Monica Ferro founded the company Wall Lamps in 1995. The brand has consolidated itself as one of the most important and respected lighting stores in Brazil and works with the top architects and lighting designers in the country. Mônica has a son and overcame breast cancer with joy and determination. She believes it is easier to overcome this disease surrounded by friends and a professional and loving support network.
Formada em Administração de Empresas, Tânia também cursou Decoração de Interiores e Fotografia pela Escola Panamericana de Arte. Atuou como decoradora por mais de 15 anos em seu próprio escritório até 2010, quando se mudou do Brasil. De volta ao país desde 2018, Tânia resolveu retomar a sua atuação em causas sociais em 2019. No passado empenhou junto à Casa Hope, Liga Solidária, HIAE, Jardim Ângela, entre outas. Casada, tem três filhos e três netas. Em 2004 foi diagnosticada com Câncer de Mama e superou a doença com todo o apoio da família e amigos.
TV hostess, actress, and journalist, Ana has a consolidated career in TV, where she has worked since 1996. She has participated in soap operas, miniseries, and TV shows on Globo channel. She is currently the hostess of the weekly program É de Casa. After discovering breast cancer in 2018 and going through the entire healing process, Ana got to know and became a collaborator of Protea Institute Recently, she has been working at the Institute as a Guest Advisor.
Since her days at Largo São Francisco Law School - USP, Ana has worked as a volunteer for Civil Society Organizations. For 19 years she has been the director of TUCCA - Association for Children and Adolescents with Cancer, an OSCIP (civil society organization of public interest) that works in partnership with Santa Marcelina Hospital. She is a member of the Education Committee of Instituto Ad Maiora and participates in the education initiatives of Pró-Saber SP. She is married and mother of 3 children, and joined our Institute because she believes in the dream of curing many women through dignified, high-quality treatment.
With a degree in Administration from FAAP-SP, Ana Carolina, or more commonly known as Carola, owned a decorative fabric store and a woodworking shop before getting involved with Liga Solidária (Solidarity League), a 95-year-old non-profit organization. Over 18 years of volunteer work with the League, Carola has held several positions, including treasurer, until she became chairperson, where she remained from 2012 to 2018. Today she remains a Board Member of the League, in addition to our Institute.
Sou formada em Arquitetura e Urbanismo pela Universidade Mackenzie com MBA Executivo Internacional pela FIA. Trabalhei durante 38 anos na indústria de mídia e comunicação, na Editora Abril e na TV Globo, ambas líderes em seus segmentos. Na Abril destaco a experiência comercial com gestão da estratégia de vendas e times comerciais, relações corporativas e a direção executiva do grupo Veja. Na Globo respondi pela gestão estratégica e operacional da parceria em TV aberta e iniciativas digitais da TV Globo com as 115 emissoras afiliadas em todo o Brasil. As experiências profissionais na Abril e na Globo me proporcionaram conhecer em profundidade o mercado de mídia e comunicação no Brasil e no mundo. Hoje atuo como conselheira independente (formação IBGC) e mentora.

Audit Committee

Economist with a degree from PUC-SP, Fábio has years of professional experience in the Financial Market. He worked as an Officer appointed through the Articles of Incorporation in several banks in Brazil and abroad, including Banco Itaú and JP Morgan. He is currently a founding partner and Officer of CIX Capital Gestão de Ativos and CIX Capital Soluções Financeiras Imobiliárias. Fábio also has extensive experience in the Third Sector, as a member of the Board of TUCCA and of Liga Solidária Audit Committee, in addition to our Institute.
She has a degree in Business Administration and Accounting Sciences, with specialization from the University of California (Berkeley) and is currently a Partner of Banco BTG Pactual (she works in share sales at the Bank’s Brokerage House) and a Board Member at HDI Seguros Brasil. She was also an Officer at Schroder Investment Management Brasil (Latin America equity funds) and Price Waterhouse (Senior Auditor), adding up to more than 20 years of experience in the financial market.
With a degree in Business Administration from FGV in SP, Flavia has worked in the financial market since 1997. Flavia started her career as a credit analyst at Citibank, and then moved to the investment area at ING Barings, Bradesco, Templeton Asset Management and BankBoston Asset Management. In 2007, living in New York, Flavia moved to ITAUBBA to work in the institutional investor sales department, where she remained for 8 years. Flavia is married and has two children.
