Look at both breasts with your arms down, then put your hands on your waist and push, then put your hands behind your head. See if there is anything unusual about them.<\/p>

Check for flattening, bulging, wrinkling, redness, roughness, or hardness.<\/p>

With soapy skin, raise your right arm and gently press on the breast with the fingers of your left hand, spiraling from the armpit to the nipple.<\/p>

Note the presence of lumps or hardening.<\/p>

Place one arm behind your head and with the other hand gently feel the breast in a spiral, from the armpit to the nipple.<\/p>

Note any thickening or small lumps in the skin.<\/p>
