The AMAR project (high-resolution breast cancer care) was designed in partnership with Santa Marcelina Hospital. It aims to reduce the time between the first consultation and the start of treatment for patients, and to offer fast, high-quality treatment for breast cancer. Funding for a breast specialist on call at Santa Marcelina Hospital to increase the number of consultations and additional tests to confirm diagnoses. The time between the first consultation with the specialist and the additional tests for diagnosis was reduced by 45 days, in addition to a 15% increase in the number of screening consultations.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Cost of mammography exam in partnership with Laborat\u00f3rio Nova Diagn\u00f3stica, diagnostic exam for non-palpable nodules that cannot be examined via mammography. With the AMAR project, Protea replaced diagnostic surgery with this clinical exam, which is faster, less invasive, more comfortable, and safer for confirming the patient's diagnosis.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

As a complementary part of the treatment for breast cancer patients at Santa Marcelina Hospital, a partner of Protea Institute, we strengthen the bond with patients through meetings of the\u00a0Women\u2019s Health Support Group.<\/strong>\u00a0Nestes encontros, que acontecem 2 vezes ao m\u00eas, \u00e9 onde \u00e9 acompanhada a evolu\u00e7\u00e3o emocional das pacientes atrav\u00e9s da partilha de sentimentos, dores e desafios, em um espa\u00e7o seguro e de acolhimento. Os volunt\u00e1rios que acompanham os encontros \u2013 profissionais psicoeducadores, psic\u00f3logos ou arteterapeutas \u2013 doam seu tempo e conhecimento para fortalecer as beneficiadas\u00a0The Protea<\/strong>\u00a0patients on these days, which always count on the presence of a member of the\u00a0Protea Team.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The\u00a0Protea\u2019s CORES\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Cuidado Otimizado de Reabilita\u00e7\u00e3o Emocional e Social \u2013 \u00e9 uma vertente do grupo de apoio para oferecer mais alternativas e atendimentos para as pacientes de c\u00e2ncer de mama. O N\u00facleo se divide em:\u00a0PROTEA Psicos\u00a0<\/strong>(Psychological and Social Support) and\u00a0PROTEA Ecos<\/strong>\u00a0(Complementary Specialty Guidance and Support).<\/p>

At\u00a0Psicos,<\/strong>\u00a0Protea\u2019s volunteer professionals offer online and in-person individual and group psychotherapy, psychoeducation, art therapy,\u00a0mindfulness\u00a0<\/em>and social assistance to patients.\u00a0Ecos\u00a0<\/strong>s\u00e3o oferecidas atividades como yoga, fisioterapia, alongamentos, micropigmenta\u00e7\u00e3o, sess\u00f5es fotogr\u00e1ficas, educa\u00e7\u00e3o f\u00edsica personalizada, rodas de conversa e outras atividades de cuidado integrado e complementar.<\/p>

Para 2023, consultoria de estilo, clube de leitura e autorretrato s\u00e3o atividades previstas.<\/p>
